Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, I have been no stranger to hard work. As the youngest of three boys, my parents raised me with strong values of integrity, honesty, and working hard for what you want in life.
My focus in life has been with my entrepreneurial endeavors, which I’ve coupled with clear objectives and a deep sense of integrity. These have been the driving forces behind my successes.
At the age of 29, I decided to take on the challenge of lifetime – training for and completing the IRONMAN triathlon. My dedication to finishing what I start and pushing myself to excel and achieve my goals allowed me to remain focused and determined. On the day of the triathlon, after over a year of training, I was able to finish with a sense of accomplishment and pride that continued to act as a driver for all of my future endeavors.
Always keeping an open mind, I was keenly aware of services that were needed in the communities in which I worked. As an avid animal lover, from 2006-2012 I worked in the Pet Transport industry, providing safe, thoughtful transportation to animals that were required to be transported outside of their owner’s care, reducing stress for the owners – but more importantly for the pet.
Mike in 2008 I started a Home Care Services company when it was identified that in home care and companioning services were sorely lacking in New York State. I had it as my mission to reduce the loneliness and frustration my clients had been feeling by spending quality time engaging them in activities that they enjoyed or ushering them to and from appointments, and assisting them with day to day activities or living requirements such as grocery shopping, errands, and light repairs around the home.
In 2013 after my father’s 5th heart attack, the lack of in-home care and recovery services available to my father made me decide that remaining in Canada to care for my parents and starting an in-home care business closer to home was not only viable, but necessary.
Over the years I have always enjoyed starting and creating new businesses as this gave me an outlet for my creativity and this is why I’ve put together a group of programs and outlets that I believe will help you achieve what you are setting out to create for yourselves. If you follow along with the recommendations I’ve laid out here you will be able to setup your business in the best possible way to get your company up and running quickly and effectively and find success in your lives as well.
